Ventilation Modes that are Applied for ARDS
• SIMV-PC (PS): The Synchronous Pressure-controlled Ventilation mode
maintains near-nose positive pressure support. Meanwhile, the pressure
trigger is adopted to reduce the confrontation of man-machine.
• PCV: For patients with severe respiratory distress, Pressure-controlled
Ventilation is used directly to maintain breathing.
• CPAP/PSV: By setting the parameter of support pressure to zero, AX400
serves as a regular CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine
